• Blogged regularly about island agriculture and innovative new farming techniques like aquaponics and permaculture.

Ithaca, NY’s daily paper for more than one hundred years, with a circulation of close to 20,000 readers.
• Full-time reporter for daily metropolitan newspaper. Wrote more than 150 articles in total, many for page A1.
• Worked on tight, daily deadlines. Produced video for paper’s Web site, took photos to accompany articles.

Hickory Ridge Farm, Ithaca, NY. (October 2009 to present)
• Manage 13-acre start-up farm with a small CSA program, growing vegetables, eggs, meat, mushrooms and fruit.
Huguenot Street Farm, New Paltz, NY.(May 2003 to June 2009)
• Gained familiarity of sustainable agriculture techniques, worked with founder of Certified Naturally Grown organization.
Cape Cod Organic Farm, Barnstable, MA. (June 2009 to October 2009)
• Worked in the fields, and on all aspects of wholesale, retail and subscription farming on Cape Cod’s largest organic farm.
WWOOF Organization (World-wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) (August 2008 to June 2009)
• Participated in work-trade on a number of farms internationally, including a coffee and tropical fruit plantation
and traditional crops farm in Hawaii, and a goat dairy, organic vegetable farm and permaculture institute in Australia.
